Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas

This is Royal Caribbean's flagship private island. After a $250 million renovation, it feels more like a high-end theme park resort than a remote island.

What to Expect:

  • The Vibe: High energy, modern, and curated. Everything is designed for convenience, from the paved paths to the pier (no small boat shuttles needed).

  • The Cost: Many areas are free (Chill Island, Oasis Lagoon, Splashaway Bay), but the big attractions like the Waterpark and the Beach Club require a paid pass.

  • Convenience: Your ship’s Wi-Fi and beverage packages work here just like they do on the boat.

Top Things to Do:

  • Thrill Waterpark: Home to Daredevil’s Peak, the tallest waterslide in North America, and a massive wave pool.

  • Oasis Lagoon: The Caribbean’s largest freshwater pool, featuring a massive swim-up bar and a DJ.

  • Up, Up and Away: A tethered helium balloon that takes you 450 feet in the air for panoramic views.

  • Hideaway Beach: A newly opened adults-only beachfront with its own pool, DJ, and bars (requires a paid pass).

  • Chill Island: The spot for classic beach relaxation, snorkeling, and complimentary beach BBQ

Labadee is a private peninsula on the northern coast of Haiti. It offers a more natural, tropical landscape with lush green mountains meeting the sea.

What to Expect:

The Vibe: Relaxed and scenic. It feels more "authentic" and less like a theme park. It features a local artisan market where you can buy Haitian crafts.

The Geography: It is spread across five distinct beaches, each with a slightly different feel (some rocky, some calm and sandy).

The Service: Just like CocoCay, a complimentary BBQ lunch is provided, and your drink packages are honored at the island bars.

Top Things to Do:

Dragon’s Breath Flight Line: The world's longest overwater zip line. You drop 500 feet while soaring over the ocean.

Dragon’s Tail Coaster: A gravity-powered alpine coaster that winds through the forest and offers great views of the ship.

Arawak Aqua Park: A floating inflatable obstacle course in the ocean.

Nellie’s Beach & Columbus Cove: The best spots for swimming and kayaking in calmer waters.

Artisan’s Market: A place to shop for handmade wooden carvings and paintings (bring cash for this!).
